Hot Drink Dispenser
Dates: May, 16-May, 28 2022
Student Project
Make something that’s easy to use.
My goal wasn’t to replace human baristas but to make warm, customized drinks possible at locations/times of day where it isn’t financially possible to have a human barista on-site or safe during the Pandemic era.
Decision Tree/User Flow
Creating a decision tree/user flow helped me figure out which information you want to display on which screens in your interface. It simplified things before I started building my lo-fi prototype.
Sketches
Lo-fi sketches helped me figure out layout and hierarchy before I got distracted by colors and fonts and all of the visual candy that goes on in a UI. I drew out a couple of versions of what I wanted my design to look like.
Hi-Fi Prototype
I wanted this to be a quick straightforward experience. As I made this I definitely wanted a more easy-to-use UI more than I wanted some fancy-looking UI. We had to keep social distancing in mind for this so a quick experience was important if I had a complex it might take a long to figure out and Could lead to lines and people gathering.
